I have enjoyed this series from the beginning but I have to say I have a soft spot for Cole. This book is different from Strawberries for Dessert in that it felt more mature. Cole and Jon are married and planning their future. It is told mostly from Jon's POV. He is the perfect partner for Cole. The subject matter is heartwarming and I cried more than I care to admit.
I loved getting deeper insight into the characters, especially George, Jon's father. We also learn more about the the relationship between Cole and his mom, Grace.
One of the things I enjoy with this series is how the author incorporates past characters into the story. It feels like small bonuses within the story to know they are still around and we get a glimpse of their lives.
I was very happy with the ending even though getting there made my eyes red and my nose sniffly. I adored it.
